GFSI
The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is a cooperation platform that brings together various players in the food industry, such as manufacturers, retailers and food service providers. The aim is to create and promote uniform standards for food safety. This ensures that food is safe and of high quality throughout the entire supply chain
The most widely used standards include:
- IFS Food (International Featured Standards for Food): Widely recognised, focuses on food safety and quality
- ISO 22000 (International Organisation for Standardisation): Global standard for food safety management
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points): Systematic approach that identifies and controls potential hazards.
