At Testify, we have developed a modular system that enables you to digitally control, document, and analyze all types of mobile testing and quality processes.

This month, we’re pleased to introduce a new key feature that significantly expands our digitalization toolkit: the External Data Check, a wonderful complement to manually entered data.

Integration of external data sources, such as sensors, as measuring devices via Plug & Play connectivity

With the External Data Check feature, you can now set up external sensor data or other third-party systems as measuring instruments and automatically transfer the recorded data into the checklist as a check result.

There are no limits to what you can do. Using Testify’s plug-and-play approach, you can connect any data source—such as sensor data, machine and device data, and much more—and automatically transfer measurement values to checklists. The only requirement is that the data be made available online via an API.

Data is exchanged in real time via standardized REST interfaces. Using the push/pull principle, data can be integrated into Testify as well as sent to the respective third-party system.

When combined with the integration of third-party systems connected via REST API or webhooks, Testify serves as an intuitive tool for comprehensive data collection that employees can easily use.

Where and how can the External Data Check be used?

  • Measure environmental parameters such as temperature, brightness, humidity, or noise, which are evaluated during workplace inspections
  • Meter readings for gas, electricity, and water to monitor energy consumption
  • Frequency counts, such as the number of movements, e.g., for test benches
  • Diagnose technical malfunctions or leaks
  • Operating counters, such as power-on counts, for evaluating the lifecycle of equipment
  • Measuring CO2 Levels in Offices and Factory Workshops to Improve Health Protection

What are the benefits of the External Data Check?

  • Fewer errors in data entry
  • Faster Process Flow
  • Automate Manual Tasks
  • Comprehensive, fast data collection
  • No silos – Single Source of Truth
