What does the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Act regulate?
Legal requirements for food contact materials in Austria are regulated by the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Act (LMSVG). It applies to all stages of production, processing and distribution and regulates the requirements for foodstuffs, water for human consumption, commodities and cosmetic products and the associated responsibilities of entrepreneurs.
