What is data strategy (industry 4.0)?

Data strategy refers to the various levels of data management in specific data systems. The hierarchy of data is clearly specified and top-down from the company level to the field level in descending order. The individual levels are as follows:

• company level (ERP)
• operating level (MES/PPS)
• process level (SCADA)
• control level (PLC)
• field level (input and output signals, usually sensor data or human generated data)
