What is an audit program?

According to ISO 19011, an audit program is a set of one or more audits that are planned over a specific time frame and pursue a specific objective. Careful preparation is required for each quality management audit. The frequency of audits, methods, responsibilities, planning and reporting requirements must be included in the audit programs. The significance of the affected processes, changes and results of previous audits must be taken into account.
