What are audit findings?

The auditor formulates his audit findings and conclusions in an audit report. In this context, an audit finding is understood to be a result from the evaluation of the collected audit evidence with regard to the audit criteria. The conformity or non-conformity with the audit criteria and, if necessary, possibilities for improvement are indicated.
