Glossary: Audit findings

What are audit findings?

The auditor formulates his audit findings and conclusions in an audit report. In this context, an audit finding is a result of the evaluation of the collected audit evidence with regard to the audit criteria. Conformity or non-conformity with the audit criteria and, if necessary, opportunities for improvement are identified.
