Glossary: Interim Inspections During Production

What are in-process inspections?

Interim inspections conducted during production serve to ensure quality control. These inspections primarily involve testing random samples of specific lot sizes in accordance with the inspection sample plan. The in-process inspection is triggered when a production or process order is released. An order can be released automatically by the system or manually by the user.
