What does cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) mean?

The cGMP describes specifications for ensuring the product quality of medicinal products and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The cGMP regulations are continuously being developed – also for the benefit of patient safety and are therefore considered indispensable for pharmaceutical production. Companies are required to adapt their processes accordingly.
