What does Capability Maturity Model Integration mean?

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a QM model that describes the quality of system and software development based on maturity levels or capability levels. CMMI is the successor of the Capability Maturity Model and can be represented in capability levels or in maturity levels. The same contents are structured differently. The maturity levels can also be assigned to process areas.
