What is a Device History Protocol (DHP)?
DHP describes a common requirement in the field of medical technology (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA, etc.) and other industries for the documentation of the entire production process including all installed components. For each finished product, an overall documentation of the complete production process for all installed parts and components must be provided. This leads to the necessity to define a documentation standard together with suppliers and partners in the production and assembly process and to supply corresponding DHR protocols when components are delivered.
